It’s All About Him

2016-its-all-about-jesus

As the year draws to a close, I want to thank, above everyone else, the Lord for leading the way. He led me through the formations of new friendships and He is leading me through this season of waiting. Faithful He has been, faithful He will be.

As we enter into 2017, I want to encourage us to not make the year about any person but about The Person who gave His life for us. He died that we may live. He took our curse that we may be blessed. Out of a Christ-centered year will we find abundant love for the people around us.

May we continually remind one another of how He is the centre of it all, and only with Him in the centre of it all can we experience good blessing and good success. Success defined by God, that is, simple obedience to Him, is far greater than any success the world can offer.

And what makes us think this good God won’t bless? He blesses at the right time such that the blessings point us to Him. He gives good gifts, gifts that build us up and, as aforementioned, points us to Him.

I tend to shift the focus of the year to certain groups of people and even specific persons. If you ask me about 2014, its mostly about my second friendationship. If you ask me about 2015, it was really the year of overcoming power. And if you ask me about this year, 2016 overall really was a year of God’s faithfulness in providing new, fresh, awesome beginnings.

No matter what 2017 is specifically about, always remember one thing: it’s all about Him! Let’s NEVER shift that focus away from Him! Let’s continually remind one another that truly it’s all about Him!

And it’s going to be so awesome!
