Many a time when I try to fix my eyes on Christ, it’s self-efforted. The past few weeks were characterized as such, as I tried my best focusing on God but ended up thinking about my challenges more than God.
I was conflicted. How can I trust God in this issue which will take way longer than expected? What do I do in the wait?
In that post I suggest to fix our eyes on Jesus, but that begs the question—how?
The strange answer, simply put, is to rely on the faith of others. What do I mean? I mean this—have fellowship with a close friend who loves the Lord. Read blogposts by others that encourage and inspire. Glean off loved ones who hope in nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. Let our dying flame be re-ignited by the fires of others.
We are running this race of faith toward more and more of God together. We are not alone in this amazing race. We help one another carry on when it seems difficult.
As a body of Christ, and a general life principle, we are all in this together.
